Box build, Unit Assembly and Test
The extensive facilities available within ABI Electronics enable us to offer a complete service. This means that our PCB assembly services do not just stop at Quick turnaround PCB assembly to low and medium builds. ABI have 25 years experience in full box build assembly. We can offer the option to conformally coat any PCB assemblies and box built products. We can now offer this extensive experience to customers from fully hand built prototypes and small batches, through to medium volumes. Units can be tested to customer specifications using either bespoke functional test equipment or utilising ABI’s own test experience and facilities.
PCBA repairs and Rework
ABI have the facilities to do all aspects of PCB track & pad repair / component rework / replacement and repair of components on PCB’s if required. We have all kinds of equipment to allow us perform a high standard of rework e.g. Ersa rework stations, Weller rework stations along with Mantis vision systems for manual visual inspection. We have the option to inspect with Automated Optical Equipment (AOI) as well which can identify faulty soldering, wrong components or wrong orientation, etc.
Our operators are all trained to IPC-A-610 standard to provide you with a high level of quality that a company like you require.

Automated Optical Inspection (AOI): ABI have invested in new AOI equipment YESTech B3 Advanced, high speed, multi colour benchtop Automated Optical Inspection (AOI): offers off-line benchtop PCB assembly inspection with exceptional defect coverage. This benchtop system inspects solder joints and verifies correct part assembly enabling users to improve quality.

JTAG Tester and Programmer AXJTAG-1500: ABI have designed and manufacturer a JTAG Tester and Programmer which is a fully integrated solution for the configuration and diagnosis of Programmable Logic Devices (PLDs). This unit includes a boundary-scan tester to arbitrarily observe individual pins and therefore determine their functionality a programming interface designed to handle industry standard SVF Files.
The JTAG Tester and Programmer is designed to work with ABI’s bespoke software – a multiple purpose platform that enables users to freely configure test procedures and instruments.
